Bee-alert!

That is what the sign read near our campsite at Jumbo Rocks in Joshua Tree National Park. More like, "Bee-ready-to-be-on-edge-with-the-constant-sound-of-buzzing-and-you-may-possibly-be-driven-into-your-bus-by-said-bees-and-not-enjoy-any-hiking-because-it's-90-degrees-in-this-park-and-no-body-of-water-to-be-found." No seriously, we did have fun though (seriously). We drove up to the Keys View, where you can see Signal Mountain in Mexico on a clear day (wasn't a clear day, but still great view of the San Andreas Fault, and Mt. San Jacinto). And we did a night hike to Skull Rock and a morning hike on the Split Rock loop. Rocks were easy to climb on and saw almost all of the desert wildlife, minus the roadrunners.
