First stop Mt.St.Helen's

We stayed here largely because it was a logical first stop based on how many miles we wanted to travel any given day, but cloudy weather prohibited us from seeing the Mountain, so we walked a short nature loop and found a campsite. Darlene (as seen on scooter below) and hubby were the camp hosts. Retired truckers, and Darlene would talk your ear off if you let her, so Mike found out. Was a bit rough with the crappy weather, but we did it and bolted out of there in the morning... see next posts...
